    For your consideration: a gorgeous jewel-toned raw silk tie, c.1960s, featuring a embroidered depiction of Pra Ram (พระราม, Lord Rama), the virtuous warrior at the center of the Ramakien (รามเกียรติ์), the national epic of Thailand. This depiction of the hero as an archer jointly emphasizes his martial prowess and his pursuit of enlightenment, as the attainment of both goals require significant effort, knowledge, concentration, and patience. An interesting side-note is that only the bow (symbolizing wisdom) is shown, while the arrow (representing concentrated thought and prayer) is invisible. Perfect for the archery range and meditation hall alike. 100% raw silk, made in Thailand. Excellent vintage condition.
